JULY
Fourth of July fireworks
Highlighted in the prior residence listing
The city’s Bay-launched fireworks are associated with the Fisherman’s Wharf and Aquatic Park waterfront. The prior listing highlights the Fourth of July; fog and the year’s launch locations determine how much is visible.
Naval ships travel along the waterfront, traditionally with a fireboat escort. Portions of the procession may cross the residence’s outlook; the full route and reviewing area will not necessarily be visible from the apartment.
A changing field of sails adds movement to the Bay. Events such as the Rolex Big Boat Series bring racing fleets to the water; which boats you can follow from home depends on the course and conditions.
Holiday boat parades have brought illuminated vessels past the northern waterfront, with Aquatic Park among the reported viewing areas. Look for the current year’s route and announcement before planning a viewing evening.
